Ward on target
St Bernadette's 20
Stokes Croft nil
St Bernadette's game with Stokes Croft
had an end-of-season look with both
teams throwing out wild passes.
But Alan Elvins, the Bernadette's
outside-half, was prominent with useful
grub kicks to gain ground. Saints then
worked their way to the Croft line, but an
infringement spoilt the advantage.
Then Leo Costello, the home scrum-half,
made a break. The ball went along the
line and Steve Budd swerved past several
players for a try which Martyn Ward
converted. Ward also kicked a penalty. |
